BBright, the specialist in solutions for live content, is pleased to announce the adoption of its Decoder by la chaine L’Équipe, a major reference in the French sports audiovisual landscape, for the reception of its SRT contribution streams. This collaboration highlights the growing use of the SRT protocol by sports channels worldwide, thanks to its unique advantages regarding contribution over IP.
The flexibility offered by the SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol allows sports channels such as la chaine L’Équipe to expand their coverage through existing IP networks, while significantly reducing transmission costs and maximizing the video quality. Thus, la chaine L’Équipe can receive more video streams from the same sports event, and offer a better user experience to its viewers.
Patrick Vautier, technical director at la chaine L’Équipe, explains: “We chose the BBright Decoder because of its interoperability with different encoder brands and its capacity to decode all types of SRT streams regardless of its source.”
“Our high density decoder allows our customers to process standard contribution streams, as well as SRT or RIST streams, up to Ultra HD, whether in SDI or 2110. It is an ideal solution for live sport contributions that are significantly growing and increasingly more diversified in terms of formats.” adds Guillaume Arthuis, CEO at BBright. “We are delighted to count la chaine L’Équipe among BBright’s customers!”
With expertise in compression, transmission and video processing, BBright provides high-performance solutions to TV operators, content providers and network operators. BBright products range offers advanced functionalities, an outstanding image quality and an unmatched flexibility to meet the various needs of the media industry.
