Starting Strong at the SVG Chairman’s Forum

Our NAB journey commenced with pride as we sponsored the SVG Chairman’s Forum on April 4th and 5th in Las Vegas. This exclusive, invitation-only gathering united top sports production leaders to deliberate on industry challenges and forthcoming opportunities. Amidst a noticeable shift towards digital platforms, live sports persist as a significant audience magnet. Broadcasters are navigating these transitions, seeking reliable partners to deliver content effectively. The forum underscored the imperative of seamless integration across diverse technologies, ensuring that innovation translates into practical, usable solutions. Engaging with this vibrant community provided invaluable insights that enriched our presentations and discussions throughout NAB.​

Devoncroft Executive Summit

On Saturday afternoon, we attended the Devoncroft Executive Summit, where industry leaders gathered to discuss the future of media technology. Josh Stinehour, Principal Analyst at Devoncroft Partners, provided a strategic overview of the industry’s current state, highlighting key trends and challenges. His insights into the evolving media landscape offered valuable perspectives that will inform our ongoing efforts to innovate and collaborate within the industry.​ For BBright, this confirms that innovation centered around all-IP, ST 2110, and Ultra HD is a strategic positioning in an industry undergoing significant transformation.

NAB SHOW

A major highlight of the show was BBright’s live demonstration of a full ST 2110-41-based UHD workflow, encompassing file-based playout to IP-based contribution and monitoring. For the first time at NAB, we presented a comprehensive chain capable of transporting rich metadata—including Dolby Atmos (via S-ADM) and Dolby Vision (via ISXD)—over IP, synchronized with UHD video and audio.​

The demo highlights native Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos delivery with real-time metadata synchronization, immersive audio, and HDR precision — all in action.

The technical showcase features:

• BBright Playout, outputting ST 2110-20/30/40/41 streams (video, audio, and metadata)
• Dolby Ultra HD Repo File containing ISXD (dynamic HDR metadata) and MGA (Metadata Guided Audio) with S-ADM (Serial Audio Definition Model)
• Jünger Audio processing and monitoring the audio and S-ADM
• Ateme Titan Live Encoder, delivering Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos in a native 2160p encoded stream
• BBright RMD, for real-time monitoring and validation of HDR and NGA metadata integrity

This setup sparked meaningful conversations with broadcasters seeking to simplify and future-proof their live and file-based workflows. The adoption of ST 2110-41 is no longer theoretical—it’s here, and we’re helping lead the charge.​

Fundamentally, this unique technological demonstration sparked highly relevant discussions with tier-1 broadcasters from around the world. This technology finally enables linear television to offer a broadcast quality that surpasses VOD. It’s a significant leap forward! Linear TV is back in the race, now capable of delivering the best in Ultra HD, dynamic HDR, and immersive audio.

The second official day of NAB Show 2025 was bustling with activity. Our booth attracted a steady stream of visitors eager to experience our live demonstrations and discuss the future of broadcast and OTT. The enthusiasm and engagement from attendees reaffirmed the industry’s commitment to innovation and collaboration.​

Our team had the pleasure of welcoming numerous broadcasters, engineers, and tech leads to the booth. Discussions spanned a wide array of topics, including ST 2110 migrations, UHD HDR monitoring, hybrid SDI/IP operations, and the critical importance of reliable metadata delivery for immersive content.​

A significant point of interest was the integration of Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocols into live contribution workflows. SRT’s ability to deliver low-latency, secure, and high-quality video over unpredictable networks has made it a cornerstone in modern broadcasting, facilitating more flexible and cost-effective remote productions.​

Additionally, conversations delved into the adoption of hybrid On-Premise/Cloud solutions. Broadcasters are increasingly seeking architectures that combine the reliability and control of on-premise systems with the scalability and agility of cloud-based services. This hybrid approach enables seamless content management and distribution, optimizing resources and enhancing operational efficiency in a rapidly evolving media landscape.​
